5th Annual New York Region Youth Championship - Notice of Race

ELIGIBILITY: All Sunfish sailors 10 through 17 years of age on the race date. Membership in the USSCA is required for all skippers. Current membership cards must be displayed. Membership applications will be available at registration. If you are a member and do not have your membership card with you, you will be required to join the class. When the Sunfish Office confirms your active membership, your dues will be refunded by that office.
FORMAT: There will be three divisions; Midget doubles, 10 through 13 years of age; Junior doubles, 14 through 17 years of age, and Junior singles, 14 through 17 years of age. Doubles and singles will race on two separate courses. In doubles competition, both skipper and crew must be Juniors or Midgets.
RULES: Racing will be governed by the rules as defined in the RRS 2005-2008; the USSCA and the regatta sailing instructions.
REGISTRATION: 0830-0930
COMPETITORS' MEETING: 0945
RACES: The first race will commence at 1030. It is the intention of the Race Committee to break for lunch after two or three races. No race will begin after 1600.
ENTRY FEES: $35 for skippers and $10 for crews include Lunch, T-shirts and Awards. Class dues are additional.
TOW LINE: It is recommended that all boats carry a 30' tow line.
